I'm loving the new features! Especially the options to remove the wings and make a bipedal dragon, the antlers, and the neck fur. This will help me make my characters more accurately. :)
This lil guy is made for forests and night flying. His bottom plates, the bottom of his feet, and more are a very dark green to hide within the night sky. Furthermore, he has patterns on the top to camouflage within the green forest.
Just tried your game for the first time, it looks really good. I do think though a full screen resolution for this would be fantastic. Also, I'm not sure if it's my computer or something but when I try using different colours I can't seem to be able to drag them onto the dragon.
I know it says arrowless buttons but I'm not sure which ones you're referring to. Sorry, probably an obvious answer as it seems to work for everyone else. Any assistance with this would be much appreciated thanks.
Sorry for the confusing wording, the arrowless buttons were referring to the ones that have the eyedrop and lightbulb next to them. To choose a color, you'd first drag the pointers around inside the color panel, and after you have a color you like, you can click the button of the part you want to color it with.
Indeed they are many ideas, but i greatly appreciate the feedback and extra resources!
Some things i can say for certain. For the last update, the wyvern type with wings resting on the ground was intended to be added, but got delayed cause they first needed to be fixed, so that changing wing size wouldn't make them clip through the floor. Which at least means they should be doable for this next update!
However sadly, for the time being, the hydra heads and eye amounts are the least possible to be added, as all dragon aspects would need to be heavily changed to accommodate for the extra parts associated with them too.
Otherwise, the rest of suggestions are very feasible! And since wyverns and drakes are now in the game, the other body types shouldn't be long to be added too (keep an eye out for the fire too =])
You can change them, they're just linked by default. If you click on the link icon at the top of the limb panel and the one next to width, it should let you change them separately.
The body type additions are really nice and I like the change to the wing claws. The transferring of old designs into the new version works great too.
If it's possible, could I suggest a full screen mode and some snout spikes. Maybe adding new wing types with different segment numbers and possibly a feathered type would be neat too.
Here's a dragon I played around with after transferring his old code up so I could try out the new stuff.
Here's a suggestion for the game: Have an option where you can change the background, as well as one to change poses. Maybe even add one where you can give the dragon accessories, like bows or dresses or something like that.
Anyways, here's the OC I made. Her name is Blueflame. She got her name cause she breathes blue fire.
There's my dragon!! Her name is Olympus, the princess of the SkyWings! She's also part Nightwing, but she doesn't realize it and thinks her scales are a mutation.
I'm having fun playing around with the many options! May I suggest adding a few short looped animations so we can see the dragons move? I'd love to see a full screen option too.
its great! I redesigned my fursona in it! though there's no wyvern option, a wyvern option would be great! its as easy as removing the front legs. overall would 100% use it to design the characters for my book
Happy you enjoyed it and the design looks awesome! While removing the limbs is easy, other aspects would need to be taken into account too for the wyverns and drakes to be integrated in the game (re-posing, adding the settings to the UI, etc). Hopefully will have it ready for a sooner update!
Sorry for the late response, I have a tumblr over at https://dragon-oasis-game.tumblr.com/ for contacting, and my Ko-fi DMs are also open, whichever might be more convenient.
I'm really loving this so much! The style for the dragons are awesome and I love that they're 3D. Really gives me good angles for drawing references.
I was wondering, what updates will be added later? Are suggestions still open? Don't want to bombard you with suggestions and make you feel obligated to add them.
And yes suggestions will be open indefinitely for the foreseeable future! Any feedback and features people might want to see is always welcome and being accounted for in future updates, with the game still being malleable in its early stages.
At the moment i'm focusing on bringing the Export/Import system for the next update, but if you have any specific suggestions feel free to share too! ^^
I see,,, might I suggest adding slots so that we can store multiple designs at a time? I don't know how to explain it but I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
I was hoping that maybe we'd be able to pick out the last dragon we were designing and continue where we left off or to edit a different one entirely.
This is such a well-made creator. I love the stylised designs of all the dragon parts.
Would it be possible for us to be able to export our dragons as fbx files so we can use them outside of the creator (with proper attribution of course)?
Wondering, for everyone communicating and giving feedback etc. Would it be more comfortable to switch to a Discussion Board (forums) within itch.io, or is the current Comments Section format alright?
Absolutely adore it so far. So few standalone character creators exist, and even fewer 3D ones with such a charming art style! If I may make a suggestion, maybe add an option for manes and tail-only integument (e.g. spines and such)? A lot of my friends with dragon characters they wanted to reproduce were a little bummed there weren't any options for hair or manes. Also, would it be possible for there to be options in the future for multiple sets of horns or facial spines, and maybe more options for teeth or tusks?
Of course, these are all simply suggestions, I don't want to make your workload too big, but throwing out ideas never hurts.
Thank you so much for the message and for the support! It's no problem I always appreciate any feedback ^^
The creator is still in its early stages with many features to come, but i will take into account to prioritize the fur features as well as the other aspects mentioned.
And spines and other facial features will be noted for the roadmap, they should be possible for the future ye!
I love your game so much I loved making different dragons in it, and it is absolutely adorable and I love all of the features you added! It is amazing! I was just hoping if maybe in a future update you could change the body weight of the dragon to maybe make one look bigger or heftier as far as the body shape? I also love the idea of adding wyverns and drakes you mentioned.
i like this lots!! the model looks great and the options for what traits they have are lovely! i wish there were options for screenshots, like maybe a hide UI option.
one thing, i think the option for changing the lips is broken? no matter which arrow i press it only goes one way, meaning i have to cycle through all the options if i pass by something i like. all the others work fine, though.
luv this so far!! i love how detailed the head is especially!! id love to see an option to simply hide the wings for drakes!!
i wanna specifically comment on how much i love the head shapes and the shapes of the claws, your style is so cute and satisfying! such such an excellent model that is so joyful to help bring to life!!! thank u so much for sharing this project!!
This is so cute and fun! Thank you for sharing with us! I had the same suggested features in mind as simplyanne: 1. A way to save a color palette of some kind 2. A way to hide/toggle the UI to take screenshots 3. A way to export the code to quickly save and reload previous dragon designs
hey i really love this. reminds me of the flash game "create a dragon" i used to mess with all the time on dolldivine. any chance it's inspired by it or similar games?
the suggestions i have are:
1. import/export/save codes (something that will read all the parts, put them into a shortened code of gibberish, and can be loaded into the creator later)
2. a hide ui hotkey or button for screenshotting
3. a "recent colors" area or palette area perhaps? i got by this by just writing all the colors and their codes down somewhere else but a built in feature would be kewl
sorry if its a lot to ask 😔 youve already given us dragon enjoyers a full-course feast so dont stress yourself 💪💪💪💪
Oi thanks a lot!! And it's no worries, everyone's reception is feeding this dragon a lot too ^^
And yea! Wyndbain's and Pidgepudge's dragon makers were huge inspirations among others i also played in the flash days!
I'm noting down all the suggestions, and didn't think about it but "recent colors" is something i could look into implementing along color-picking used colors
as someone who has terrible, TERRIBLE dargon brainrot............this goes SO hard
incredibly fun tool, love making these silly creatures... def doesnt feel like an 'early alpha' at all!!
really my biggest complaint is jus that the color select is like ... scaled incorrectly or smthn?? almost like the graphic is scaled 2x wider than it should be, havin the color on the graphic vs. the color that you actually get be inaccurate......just having a hard time putting it into words, sorry
Are you playing it on mobile browser by any chance? There's a bug i'm fighting for the crosshair to map properly on mobile, which should hopefully be fixed soon among other mobile compatibilities. In the meantime you can best experience the game on desktop with fixed resolution ^^
Impressive and already pretty fun to play with! You've probably thought of it but a save/load feature would be great, especially if you add any further visual complexity. Thanks for making and sharing.
Thank you and thanks for the suggestion! It's not too functional yet, but an export/import system will be worked on, for when enough features are added.

Hey there,

i absolutely adored this! i remade my sona in here and i do wish i could run around as this lil dude. but for what it is its so so very charming.
here's the lil dude i made btw! :]
I have some ideas......but i'd like to ask if you want them, before i dump a, quite frankly, ungodly amount of suggestions here. ._.
great game btw
i make charzard :3
Excellent charzard =3
And yea suggestions are always welcome! I always note them down for future versions so feel free to share! ^^

sorry again
Indeed they are many ideas, but i greatly appreciate the feedback and extra resources!

All in all, thank you for the feedback!
lol glad you like the ideas. i tend to go overboard. ;u;
again so sorry
when i said a lot i ment A lot ;-;
Y'know, i wish you could change the thicknesses of the limbs to be different from front to back, dunno why it changed.
You can change them, they're just linked by default. If you click on the link icon at the top of the limb panel and the one next to width, it should let you change them separately.
The body type additions are really nice and I like the change to the wing claws. The transferring of old designs into the new version works great too.

Looks so awesome and incandescent!
More head features and other wing types are planned in the roadmap for a near future update so stay tuned for that!
Will note to implement a proper Fullscreen mode too. While not perfect, in the meantime you can zoom in the game in browser version using Ctrl+
Omg! This game is sooooo cool! I LOVE it. Sadly you can't play whit the dragon or pose it. Anyways... here is my best creation so far!

I love character creator games and this one is great! The dragon is so cool!
I made a purple dragon because it's my favorite color. :D
Some Pokemon as Dragons. Can you guess all of them? (Hint: none of them are of the dragon type nor do they resemble dragons.)
1. They are ordered by number in the pokedex by the way...
2. The longer I look, the more accurate it seems...
3. However, this one probably wins for being the most accurate to me...
4. First pokemon I recreated as a dragon and it still looks really cool!
5. I wish I could make it more accurate, but this is the closest I got...
These turned out so accurate and well made!!
Why thank you!
Might I suggest an option to reset the design? Y'know, in case you want to make more than one dragon without refreshing the page...
Also, I'd love for there to be antlers and manes.
I'm having fun playing around with the many options! May I suggest adding a few short looped animations so we can see the dragons move? I'd love to see a full screen option too.
Here's this neat guy I made!
Love the way you made the patterns contrast it looks so cool!
I like the idea of giving them different animations to view too, taking note of the suggestions!
its great! I redesigned my fursona in it! though there's no wyvern option, a wyvern option would be great! its as easy as removing the front legs. overall would 100% use it to design the characters for my book

Seconding “let me hide the wings for drakes”! But this is in general so wonderful!!
Thank you for the suggestion!
Will keep it in mind to add different body modes for a future update, including Wyverns and Drakes ^^
This is so cute and fun! Thank you for sharing with us! I had the same suggested features in mind as simplyanne:
1. A way to save a color palette of some kind
2. A way to hide/toggle the UI to take screenshots
3. A way to export the code to quickly save and reload previous dragon designs
adore this. if you made the dragons playable i would waste hours playing this. its the exact art style of dragons that i love
I created an account just to tell you how much I love this :] btw I love how the base model and illustartions look

AYAYAYY THANKS!!
Are you playing it on mobile browser by any chance?
There's a bug i'm fighting for the crosshair to map properly on mobile, which should hopefully be fixed soon among other mobile compatibilities.
In the meantime you can best experience the game on desktop with fixed resolution ^^
naw, im on a mac running it in web browser.... hope you get that sorted!!
Hmm that's odd...
Still hoping the other scaling fixes will be able to fix your case too
A color select tool would be so useful!! im having a lot of fun
Glad you're enjoying it! ^^
Noted a color selector will be added for next update
wadda hell... this rules
